1) Greetings from the new Kingdom Webminister
Hi! I am Hersirkona kolfinna inn kyrra Otarsdottir, and as of April 30th this year I am now the Kingdom Webminister of Ansteorra. I have been in communication and collab with my predecessor Honorable Asa, who cared for our Webministry Department with good hands during their tenure — Thank you, Asa!! I am very excited to step into this role and do what I can to support our Crown, Principality, Officers, and Populace of Ansteorra.
For folks who don’t know me, my Ansteorra wiki page is up-to-date, and I’m very open to receiving questions, having a chat, and otherwise making myself available in this role.
2) AMP by the Numbers
AMP has been live for three full reigns now, and the AMP team wanted to highlight exciting data from that time period. Check out this slideshow below or view it as a PDF here to see how AMP has grown over time!
3) AMP features you should know about
There are some important AMP features that everyone in the Kingdom should know about that I want to highlight
- Gatherings and waivers in AMP
- Local Seneschals should be using AMP to create Gatherings for any activity that might require waivers.
- Local Officers can and should use AMP to upload waivers in AMP for gatherings — from Marshals to Exchequers, every Warranted Local Officer can upload waivers from your activities.
- After the July Round Table this will become the mandatory process for uploading waivers.
- Automatic officer tables on your local websites
- Your Local Group Website has been updated!! Every local group website now has access to a table called “AMP – Group Name”.
- This table is identical to the officers table you’ll find if you visit https://ansteorra.org/officers, and sources automatically from AMP.
- If your local officers page doesn’t yet show this Table, contact me and your Local Webminister or Seneschal and I’ll help you get that added.
4) Round Table Reminders
We are a month and a half away from Round Table, and I will be coordinating the tech behind the scenes. However, I’m always looking for folks who want to try out the job of Tech Lead! Being Tech Lead for Round Table is a time-boxed job and means doing the up-front config for the conference, being available and in touch w/ the class coordinator, and coordinating volunteers before and during the event. I can help with all of that and would happily mentor anyone who is interested.

Announcing the Incoming Kingdom Webminister

With the support of the Crown and the blessing of the Society Webminister, it is with great pleasure that I am announcing that Honorable Goodman Åsa in Blinda (they/them) will be taking on the role of Kingdom Webminister of Ansteorra at the January 2025 Kingdom Round Table event!
Please join me in welcoming Honorable Goodman Asa to the role, and give them the same support that you have given me throughout my tenure. I have full confidence that they will enter into this role with competency, great ideas, and a passion for our organization and our community that will continue to help strengthen the Webministry and the Kingdom.

Kingdom Webminister – Kingdom of Ansteorra
Greetings to Ansteorra from your Neighborhood Friendly Kingdom Webminister!
I am happy to announce the selection of Koke Gan ši as the second-ever and Incoming Vindheim Webminister!
The Vindheim Webminister is a relatively new position within the Ansteorra Webministry whose goal is to be a supportive position for the Principality Groups as well as for the Principality’s main site. The Vindheim Webminister can be reached by emailing vindheim@webminister.ansteorra.org.
This announcement would not be complete without me expressing my extreme gratitude for Fru Úlfeiðr á Þróndheim for volunteering and serving at the premier Vindheim Webminister. Greetings Ansteorra!
This is a short announcement to let folks know that the Society-level website (sca.org) is experiencing an outage that began sometime around 10AM EST this morning (14 June 2022). This outage is impacting our ability to access any pages, links, or documents hosted through sca.org, including any Society-level Handbooks or Policy documents.
Unfortunately this outage is beyond the scope of our Ansteorra Webministers to address directly. I thank you for your patience an understanding as our Society officers and support personnel work to address the outage.

Round Table May 2022 – Looking for Tech Lead!
Greeting Ansteorra from your Kingdom Webminister – kolfinna inn kyrra Ottarsdottir!
We are about 6 weeks away from the next offering of the Ansteorra Round Table event! We had a very successful event this past January in which we used Google Meetings and a new mechanism for organizing and executing the event. We plan to do the same this May, and I am looking for a volunteer!
What we need:
One person to volunteer as the Tech Lead for the May 2022 Round Table.
This is a new method of running the event wherein we will have the event run by two individuals — a Tech Lead supported by Kingdom Webminister and a Class Coordinator supported by the Kingdom Seneschal. This event will be entirely virtual and does not need to be hosted or bid upon by individual groups within Ansteorra.
What does the Tech Lead job entail?
The Round Table Tech Lead will be a temporary deputy of the Kingdom Webminister until the conclusion of the May 2022 Round Table event.
Primary responsibilities include
- creating schedule spreadsheet
- keeping website updated (schedule, links, FAQ, etc)
- configuring Meeting rooms and providing Host Instructions
- Day-of goal is to monitor website/chat and linger in General Room for on-demand support to attendees and hosts
We already have a detailed Operating Procedures document that will help guide both the Tech Lead and Class Coordinator. Plus! For the May 2022 Round Table, much of the technical prep and setup has already been done by me, so your primary responsibility for this Round Table will be to ensure the schedule, links, and website remain up-to-date going forward, and provide day-of support.
You will have the full support of me as Kingdom Webminister!
