I write to you this morning to let you know about seven new email discussion lists that are now being hosted by the Kingdom. Working with the direction and collaboration of Their Majesties, I have created the following email discussion lists:
The current, and previous crowns, have experienced difficulties in communicating in a timely fashion with their polling orders. There has been a need for an official means the Crown can use to communicate directly with members of polling orders. To meet that need, the Kingdom is now hosting official discussion lists for each of our polling orders.
The current and future Crowns will be use these mailing lists for official communications from the Crown to the orders. We encourage all active and engaged members of the orders to subscribe a email address to the list, as it will become the default place to see information communicated from the Crown to your polling order.
As always, anyone in the populace can contact the Crown for any business by sending an email to trm@crown.ansteorra.org.
Membership in these lists is extended to members of the corresponding polling order, but is optional. Members of the list will be able to send emails to the list or receive emails from the list. Only the Crown of Ansteorra, Heirs of Ansteorra, and members of the corresponding order will be approved to join their list. Membership requests will be processed by a volunteer from within the order who has agreed to review invite requests. The Ansteorra Kingdom Webminister will remain as a top-level admin of each list, but will delegate administration to the moderators from within the order(s) unless specifically asked to step in.
These lists (in addition to the existing email discussion lists Ansteorra hosts for the Laurels, Pelicans, Chivalry, and Arc d’Or), will be used as the official means of communication from the Crown to the members of polling orders and can be used by order members for discussion via email as needed.
These lists are hosted by the Kingdom of Ansteorra, so Society Conduct and Behavior rules apply to all usage of these lists, and messages are Archived.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the volunteers from within these orders who stepped up as moderators: Master Perrin de Beaujeu, Duke Jean Paul de Sens, HL Koia Karasova, HE Brenna MacDonald, and Dona Áshildr Inn Hárfagri. Approving join requests is definitely a behind-the-scenes role that is nonetheless important and very much appreciated by me. Thank you!
