Steppes Artisan is the annual competition that encompasses a person’s body of work in a craft of their choosing. It is usually held on a Saturday in the summer. Artisans are only chosen here and have the privilege of being a judge in subsequent Steppes Artisans events.

Their Oaken Excellencies of the Barony of the Steppes invite you to a glorious day of classes and competition in the arts and sciences, when they will choose their new Steppes Artisan Champion. Will it be you?
This is a Body of Work competition, consisting of no more than four and no less than two entries, open to any level of Artisan. Documentation is encouraged. Submit research papers for entries to Astrid Flokadottir at firstname.lastname@example.org by 23 July. Be prepared to discuss your work.
Prizes will be awarded for Baronial Champion, Novice, and Youth (ages 10-17).
No alcohol on site except for brewers entered into the competition. Brewers, please provide disposable single-use 1 oz tasting cups for the judges and those of legal age to sample your work. You must give notice of alcoholic entries at registration.
