Rapier

Did you grow up with swashbuckling stories and movies? Did you long to know what it meant to be, as Shakespeare called it, “the very butcher of a silk button”? Did you long to be a musketeer? Rapier is also known as fencing or light fighting. There are many different forms and techniques used throughout the ages. If you love the sound of swishing swords and graceful footwork, come learn at one of our weekly practices.

No prior experience or equipment is necessary. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. Tie long hair or beards back and bring water.

Time: Sundays 4 – 6 pm

Location: Lot 50 by the Emerging Technologies Building (ETB) right off Polo Road

** Please note- Rapier practices are on hold at the moment as we are in the process of getting more equipment. When we start practices back up, they will occur at the same time and place as Chivalric practices.

The Rapier Marshal is responsible for safety at all events and practices for rapier combat.
