Welcome to the Barony of Raven’s Fort, a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism. The lands of The Barony of Raven’s Fort include the areas surrounding the cities of Huntsville, Cleveland, Conroe, Livingston, Centerville, and Madisonville, Texas. It is in the Southern Region of the Kingdom of Ansteorra, which encompasses the states of Oklahoma and Texas (excepting El Paso, which is in the Mountain Time Zone). The SCA, Inc. is an international non-profit organization comprised of 19 kingdoms worldwide.

The Society of Creative Anachronism, or SCA for short, is an organization that is dedicated to re-creating many of the arts, skills, and traditions of the pre-17th century world. The SCA is a learning-by-doing organization with many active members that are ready and willing to teach their craft. There’s a nearly endless list of arts and skills associated with the SCA such as: calligraphy, illumination, culinary arts, bardic arts, drawing & painting, metalwork, lapidary, heraldic arts, glasswork, jewelry craft, woodworking, rapier combat, heavy combat, sewing & costuming, equestrian activities, leatherworking, spinning, dyeing, and a plethora of other skills and arts!
