The Barony of Namron has the privilege of hosting three large events each year: The Medieval Fair in Norman Demo, Beltane, and Protectorate. In some years, we are honored to host events for the Kingdom of Ansteorra, or other special events. Many of our populace members also travel to Gulf Wars in Mississippi, or to Pennsic in Pennsylvania each year. We invite you to join us for any, or all, of them!

Annual Events
The Medieval Fair in Norman Demo
Our largest demonstration takes place at the Medieval Fair in Norman, OK, each spring. It is held at the end of March or beginning of April. The free fair attracts up to 300,000 visitors in a three-day period, and features hundreds of vendors, artisans, food trucks, and performers.
More information about the demo.
Beltane
Beltane is a held in the spring, usually the first weekend in May.

Protectorate
Protectorate is held the first weekend of October each fall. We have been hosting this event for over forty years, longer than the kingdom of Ansteorra has been around. Protectorate has always been a fighting event and as such it was once coined “The King Maker” as the champion of the Armored Combat tournament, Namron’s Protector, often went on to become the next crowned Prince of the Kingdom.

Special Events
Gulf Wars
Gulf War is war with no enemies, held in Mississippi mid-March. It is a war between the kingdoms of Ansteorra and Trimaris. It is hosted by the Kingdoms of Gleann Abhann and Meridies. Baronies from all of the neighboring kingdoms come to battle it out. This is where we bring out the siege engines, combat archers, and most importantly, camaraderie. Many members of our populace camp together in the Namron encampment, sharing meals together, and enjoying the immersive medieval experience.
Pennsic War
Two weeks of medieval life is just what you’d expect: FUN! The Pennsic War has been postponed until 2021, due to plague, but you can visit the website and start making plans for your future visit.
Vindheim Coronet Tournament
We are honored to host the Vindheim Coronet Tournament, June 18, 2022. This event features an Armored Combat tournament to select the new Territorial Royalty of the Principality of Vindheim, and occurs twice per year.
