Mooneschadowe was founded in April 1979 as Mona Sceaduw, and formally recognized by the Kingdom of Ansteorra as a shire in September 1979. In January 2006, Mooneschadowe successfully petitioned to be recognized as a Province, the only one in the Kingdom of Ansteorra.
Based in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the Province has a long history with Oklahoma State University. We have an active student group on campus, the Medieval Studies Group, and we hold a demo on campus every fall to introduce ourselves to the new incoming students. We know we may “lose” many of our student members when they graduate and move away, but they’ll always be a part of Mooneschadowe!
