Words from HRM Antigone III:

Greetings to the most amazing fencers in the known world!

Letters of intent are not required but highly appreciated for Queen’s Champion. You may submit them in any way you wish (do not regret me typing that) as long as it makes it to me prior to you signing your name into the list. Please see the Queen’s Champion tournament format below and my expectations of my champion.

The tournament shall be 4-8 full round robin pools depending on the number of entrants. The top 1-2 in each pool shall advance into a bracketed single elimination tournament. Should an individual not be able to fulfill the requirements of the job, they shall not advance into the bracketed portion.

Expectations are as such: Attendance at Pennsic during most if not all of the dates I shall be there which is roughly 8/1-8/9. Attendance of 80% of the events the Queen attends. No consumption of alcohol or other mind altering substances while on the job. Ability to keep the confidence of any sensitive subject matters discussed or overheard. A relaxed demeanor with a good sense of humor.

Absolutely not expected – authorized or could be authorized as a heavy fighter. This is *only* so that you may take the melee field with me at Pennsic should you wish to do so.

Queen’s Hope will happen after the round robin portion of the Queen’s Champion tourney and before the Bracketed portion of the tourney.

More info will be available.

Tourney will be conducted by Master Orlando

Words from HRM Antigone III:

Greetings to our fearless cut and thrust fighters!

Royal Blade (AKA Kingdom Cut and Thrust Championship) shall be held at this event. Please see the tournament format below:

1 hour bearpit

bring your best

must armor down to match lowest (if longsword and sword and shield fight each other, longsword must change weapons if sword and shield person does not have rigid hand protection)

drop-out round

if >16 fighters, then top 8 advance to quarter-finals single elim

Champion expectations from the crown are to represent the kingdom in any inter-kingdom events in which a C&T tournament is present that the crown attends. If the champion cannot make such event, they should find a suitable individual to do so. The champion is also invited to guard the crown at all events they are in attendance at.

Site opens at 8am and closes at 7:30pm

Below is an overview of the site showing where we’d like folks to be parking. Start with nose in along the fences along the roads. We’ll have the area closest to gate both inside and along the closest fence area, marked as accessible parking. Continue parking across the street in the open field as needed. Lastly, if we fill up the field across the street, we can start parking inside the fence along FM775, but are really trying to keep the ambience and have as much parking outside of the main field as possible.

And of course, you may come inside the gate to unload at the field, but do please move your vehicles out to parking as soon as you’ve finished unloading to allow the next folks to also have the same convenience of unloading nearby…. then proceed to setup your structures!
