Gulf Wars XXXIII (2026)
The Kingdoms of Ansteorra and Trimaris are going to WAR and they’ve enlisted the help of their neighbor Kingdoms of Meridies and Gleann Abhann to help! Kingdoms from all around the Knowne World will choose alliances and compete to see which of Ansteorra’s or Trimaris’ armies prove victorious. No war would be complete without the promise of a rematch, so it is agreed that no matter the points won, it will be a TIE! That we can return the following year and test our mettle in all fields of skill again!
Gulf Wars is a large SCA event with thousands of people and all the SCA activities you could want like tournaments, melees, classes, shopping, parties, and much more! It is a week long event that allows Scadians to meet, fight, learn and interact with others from all around the Knowne World. There are tournaments of all kinds, classes every day, parties and revels in the evening, and shopping galore.
Ansteorra is one of the principal kingdoms which means we bring a large amount of people with us and have a huge presence at the event from being on the field to volunteering our time. As one of the primary Kingdoms, it’s important that we show up, have fun, and make sure activities happen! Volunteering not only helps the event run smoothly, it also help earn money for your local group or Kingdom! Sign up as a volunteer for the War here and then pick shifts when you are able.

Gwenllyan verch Wilkin is doing a great job of scheduling the BFT for kingdom activities and keeping it hospitable for our populace and friends all week long. Contact her if you would like to add to the schedule or if you have some free time and would like to help decorate, organize, or prepare for different activities. Many hands make light work when hosting hundreds of your friends for an entire week!
There are plans to have a hot beverage station available in the mornings. If you are an early riser and appreciate a fresh cup of coffee, contact Gwenllyan and offer to help!

Ansteorra Cookie Night is Wednesday night at 7pm.
This is replacing chili this year, so eat dinner in camp and then come by the BFT for dessert!
After a delicious plate of desserts, head off to merchants for Midnight Madness! When you are tired of shopping, stop back in at the BFT for some hot beverages, whatever tasty desserts are left, and tell everyone about your spoils of war!
This is an opportunity for anyone to help and support the kingdom, and to share their favorite desserts. Even though it’s labeled Cookie Night, you can donate any kind of dessert you would like – we aren’t going to snub the excellent cakes, brownies, pies, puddings, donuts, scones, breads, or cupcakes that anyone donates. Desserts are delicious and a buffet of them sounds delightful!
It doesn’t have to be a period recipe, but if you want to do that – great! Provide whatever documentation you would like and help us all learn more about medieval desserts!
The Cookie Party will be in and around the BFT. There will be tables and chairs available, as well as electricity/lighting and potable water. Ingredient lists are appreciated by those with dietary restrictions, but not required to donate desserts. If you bring something that requires slicing or scooping, please bring the utensils necessary to serve.
