Rapier Champion Tournament

The format for Elfsea’s Rapier Championship shall be:

1st round – Rollin’ in Doh!

Each Participant shall roll a die to determine their weapon(s) style. There will be a Left-hand Die and a Right-Hand Die. Die colors and numbers will correspond with a weapon or defensive object.

All rapier styles and defensive objects are potentially open to be used.

Depending on the number of entrants, every participant will face every other participant at least once. Each bout shall be the best 2 out of 3. Double kills will be refought until a victory is achieved.

2nd Round and Final Rounds – Spring into Seriousness

The number of participants chosen to proceed further will be determined by the number of entrants. Those chosen to proceed past the 1st round will be expected to bring their best. They are also expected to face their opponent’s best, matched styles are not required. Rapier Spear and Cut and Thrust are not included in this Championship tournament.

Please note: The Champion of Elfsea is chosen based on not only prowess on the field, but on courtesy, chivalry and honor.

Elfsea Archery Defender Tourney

NOTE: Equipment will be inspected prior to sign in; non-passing gear will not be able to participate. Loaner gear will not be provided for this tournament, please plan accordingly.

Round 1:

3 arrow string shoot at 25 yards – must get 3 arrows in the target to score – Ranked by shortest string

Round 2:

Defeat marauding bandits without striking Elfsea defenders – 20 yard 30-second timed shoot. +3 pts per bandit hit, -5 points per defender hit – Ranked by points

Round 3:

Hunt a wild hog – shoot at a moving hog target at 20 yards, with 2 passes across the range. +1 pt per hit/stick, +3 pts per hit to vitals, and +5 pts per hit to the heart – Ranked by points

Each round will be assigned tournament points by rank, number of points assigned will be determined by the number of archers, more participants equals more points.

Final shootout:

Top x (may vary by number of participants) archers based on total tournament points for the preceding 3 rounds will shoot 6 arrows at a standard 60 cm FITA target, beginning in the outer white ring and working your way in by color, must stick an arrow in the target color before proceeding. Winner is the archer who gets the furthest color inward after 6 arrows.
