1) Greetings from the new Kingdom Webminister
Hi! I am Hersirkona kolfinna inn kyrra Otarsdottir, and as of April 30th this year I am now the Kingdom Webminister of Ansteorra. I have been in communication and collab with my predecessor Honorable Asa, who cared for our Webministry Department with good hands during their tenure — Thank you, Asa!! I am very excited to step into this role and do what I can to support our Crown, Principality, Officers, and Populace of Ansteorra.
For folks who don’t know me, my Ansteorra wiki page is up-to-date, and I’m very open to receiving questions, having a chat, and otherwise making myself available in this role.
2) AMP by the Numbers
AMP has been live for three full reigns now, and the AMP team wanted to highlight exciting data from that time period. Check out this slideshow below or view it as a PDF here to see how AMP has grown over time!
3) AMP features you should know about
There are some important AMP features that everyone in the Kingdom should know about that I want to highlight
- Gatherings and waivers in AMP
- Local Seneschals should be using AMP to create Gatherings for any activity that might require waivers.
- Local Officers can and should use AMP to upload waivers in AMP for gatherings — from Marshals to Exchequers, every Warranted Local Officer can upload waivers from your activities.
- After the July Round Table this will become the mandatory process for uploading waivers.
- Automatic officer tables on your local websites
- Your Local Group Website has been updated!! Every local group website now has access to a table called “AMP – Group Name”.
- This table is identical to the officers table you’ll find if you visit https://ansteorra.org/officers, and sources automatically from AMP.
- If your local officers page doesn’t yet show this Table, contact me and your Local Webminister or Seneschal and I’ll help you get that added.
4) Round Table Reminders
We are a month and a half away from Round Table, and I will be coordinating the tech behind the scenes. However, I’m always looking for folks who want to try out the job of Tech Lead! Being Tech Lead for Round Table is a time-boxed job and means doing the up-front config for the conference, being available and in touch w/ the class coordinator, and coordinating volunteers before and during the event. I can help with all of that and would happily mentor anyone who is interested.

Are You AMPed?
As of the July 2025 Round Table Event, Ansteorra’s Management Portal has gotten another glow up!
AMP is now the central place for Ansteorrans to manage
- marshal authorizations
- award recommendations at all levels (new!)
- officer hiring and warranting at all levels (new!)
- sharing court preferences with the Crown and viewing your history of service and submissions in AMP
What this means for you!
- If you are an Officer or Deputy at any level in Ansteorra, you need to create and/or update your AMP account so that you can be properly warranted and we can get our Kingdom Roster up-to-date
- If you are Seated Nobility at any level in Ansteorra, you need to create and/or update your AMP account so that you can start viewing and processing award recommendations
How do you learn more?
With this new release we have added two additional training resources to the “What is AMP?” page
- AMP for All Officers
- AMP for Awards (Training for Crown, Coronet, Territorial Coronet, and Landed Nobility)
- These are in addition to the Great Officer Training and the AMP User Guide

The January 2025 Ansteorra Virtual Round Table is imminent!
This coming Saturday, January 28, 2025 from 9am to 6pm!
This event will be hosted virtually using Google Meetings. The schedule is available online and we are looking for volunteers to be Hosts for our various meeting rooms.
Hosts will be responsible for monitoring the room, keeping an eye on chat, responding to disturbances (muting mics, kicking people if necessary, etc.). We’ll help you log into the Host account and you’ll have support throughout the day from me as the Round Table Tech Lead.
If you’re interested in helping our teachers and officers, please sign up! Complete instructions will be provided to volunteers later this week via email.

Ansteorra Management Portal (AMP) 1.2 – Round Table AMP Update!
1/12/2025 – Warrants & Officers Release
We are excited to announce the release of our Officers & Warrants component to the Ansteorra Management Portal (AMP). This new module allows Ansteorra to keep a better record of who all of our wonderful officers. Be they Kingdom Officers, Local deputies or Authorizing Marshals, Ansteorra can make sure we know who all is making our game possible and managing society policies on warranting and information management.
What the Warranting Module will include:
- Great Officers will be able to appoint officers to their positions in AMP
- Great Officers will be able to use AMP to generate and send warranting rosters to the Crown
- The Crown will be able to use AMP to review and sign warrants for the semi-annual Round Table Warranting as well as between
- Populace members will be able to use AMP to view their Current and Past offices
- Note: this record of service in AMP will begin with current offices and keep a running record for the future, it will not include historical information about past offices served
What this means for you:
Personally, when you log in to AMP via https://amp.ansteorra.org you will now see an “Officers” tab. Right now, you will not have any offices assigned. So it will look like this:
Over the coming week we will be using the previous Round Table rosters and coordinating with Kingdom Officers to populate these tabs with all of the current officers.

We have also made quite a few bug fixes and convenience updates based on user feedback (thank you all for submitting feedback!).

If you are an officer or authorizing marshal, please make sure you have an account in AMP and that your user profile is up-to-date ASAP.

Award Recommendations! Authorizations! AMP! Oh My!

Today is the Day!
AMP IS LIVE!
AMP replaces and improves our marshal/participant portal. It gives us some much-needed improvements on our marshal system as well as new features like the Mobile Auth Card!
AMP makes it easier for you to submit award recommendations. It will make it possible for you to let the Crown know your court availability and notification preferences from your AMP User Account, submit multiple recommendations more easily, and keep a record of recommendations you’ve made before.
What happens today?
- AMP is live! Visit AMP at https://amp.ansteorra.org on any device.
- All links to the old marshal/participant system will redirect you to AMP.
- All links to the Award Recommendation Google Form will redirect you to AMP. Starting on October 1st 2024, the Google Form that Ansteorra has been using to submit award recommendations to the Crown will no longer accept responses.

Changes to Kingdom Law have been Approved
Greetings unto the populace of Ansteorra,
After much consideration of the commentary received and review by the kingdom seneschal, the following kingdom law changes have been approved.
King Sven IV and Queen Antigone III
Article II Officers, Section 8 : Minister of Arts and Sciences
A. The Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences (MoAS) is responsible for the education of the
populace in the arts and sciences and for furthering historical interaction and research.
B. The MoAS oversees arts and sciences (A&S) activities throughout the kingdom, including
the following:
1. Coordinates the scheduling, organization, and running of the Kingdom A&S
Competition.
2. Coordinates the scheduling, organization, and running of King’s College.
3. Coordinates other arts and sciences events as required by the Crown, including
kingdom participation in inter-kingdom activities.
4. Oversees the activities of A&S colleges or guilds created at the discretion of the
Crown.
To be replaced with:
