Kingdom Officer Page will Now Automatically Update from AMP!
You’ve heard of great things from AMP — authorization management, award recommendations, and warrant management.
But did you know the great things don’t stop there??
Starting the evening of September 26, 2025, the Ansteorra Officers Page will be updated to display up-to-date officer information from AMP. You’ll be able to view the latest appointments in the Kingdom, individual Departments, Regions, and Local Groups!
What does this mean?
- A published roster of current officers in AMP will be available from ansteorra.org/officers
- This roster will include only information that requires no release forms
- This means: Department, Region/Group, Officer Title, SCA Name, official email address, term start, term end.
- Per Kingdom and Society Policy, no PII will be published to the website without appropriate permission given from an individual
- No more waiting for ansteorra.org/officers to get manually updated
- No more guessing about who holds what office
- All updates to current officers can and should be done via AMP (amp.ansteorra.org)
- If you see information that is incorrect or missing, please contact the corresponding upline for the position so they can make necessary changes in AMP.
- The Officers page will update within 1 day when changes are made in AMP
As a follow on to this change, the Webministers responsible for Local Groups, Department Pages, and the Principality page will get information on how to also display up-to-date information on AMP on their sites.

As of the July 2025 Round Table Event, Ansteorra’s Management Portal has gotten another glow up!
AMP is now the central place for Ansteorrans to manage
- marshal authorizations
- award recommendations at all levels (new!)
- officer hiring and warranting at all levels (new!)
- sharing court preferences with the Crown and viewing your history of service and submissions in AMP
What this means for you!
- If you are an Officer or Deputy at any level in Ansteorra, you need to create and/or update your AMP account so that you can be properly warranted and we can get our Kingdom Roster up-to-date
- If you are Seated Nobility at any level in Ansteorra, you need to create and/or update your AMP account so that you can start viewing and processing award recommendations

Ansteorra Management Portal (AMP) 1.2 – Round Table AMP Update!
1/12/2025 – Warrants & Officers Release
We are excited to announce the release of our Officers & Warrants component to the Ansteorra Management Portal (AMP). This new module allows Ansteorra to keep a better record of who all of our wonderful officers. Be they Kingdom Officers, Local deputies or Authorizing Marshals, Ansteorra can make sure we know who all is making our game possible and managing society policies on warranting and information management.
What the Warranting Module will include:
- Great Officers will be able to appoint officers to their positions in AMP
- Great Officers will be able to use AMP to generate and send warranting rosters to the Crown
- The Crown will be able to use AMP to review and sign warrants for the semi-annual Round Table Warranting as well as between
- Populace members will be able to use AMP to view their Current and Past offices
- Note: this record of service in AMP will begin with current offices and keep a running record for the future, it will not include historical information about past offices served
What this means for you:
Personally, when you log in to AMP via https://amp.ansteorra.org you will now see an “Officers” tab. Right now, you will not have any offices assigned. So it will look like this:
Over the coming week we will be using the previous Round Table rosters and coordinating with Kingdom Officers to populate these tabs with all of the current officers.

Announcement of Change of Title from Hospitaler to Chatelaine
Greetings unto the Populace of the Stellar Kingdom of Ansteorra,
For some time the SCA has been changing over from usage of the term “Hospitaler” to that of “Chatelaine” as the title used for recruitment and retention officers. Upon taking the office of Kingdom Hospitaler I was informed that it had been requested by Society that Ansteorra make the change to using “Chatelaine”. The majority of Kingdoms in the Knowne World have used this nomenclature for some time now and it was determined that it would be better to standardize to avoid confusion. With the support of the Crown and other Kingdom Officers I am beginning the process to move forward with these changes and bringing Ansteorra in line with the standardized use of “Chatelaine” across the SCA.
This process will take time as it entails changes to Kingdom Law, Kingdom Handbooks, websites, and nomenclature. Please support your local Chatelaines as they make these changes.

Updates to Ansteorra Law – From the Coronation of Gabriel III and Sonja III
Read below for a message to the Populace of Ansteorra from our Kingdom Seneschal.
These laws were read into the premier court of Gabriel III and Sonja III at Coronation held on January 14, 2023. Please note, the law changes in Article IV, Section 3 (currently Perpetual Events) and Article IV, Section 4 (currently Event Limits) are suspended until further discussions can occur
- Article II, Section 2, Subsection 1, A.3 – removed “the Crown or by” and added “and confirmed by the Crown” at the end
- Article II, Section 3, Subsection 1, A – added “6. All officers are required to maintain confidentiality of privileged information known to the office. Breach of confidentiality is cause to refer the officer to Crown and corresponding superior officer, with notification to Kingdom Seneschal, for immediate removal from office as a just cause, and possible sanctions based on severity.”
- Article II, Corrected “Rights and Duties of the Pers and Nobility” to be a section and renumbered all subsequent sections
- Article II, Section 14 (previous Section 13), Changed wording to read “The royal family consists of those who have served as Sovereign or Consort, or as Principality Sovereign or Consort.”

As so many of us struggle with the pain of separation from one another socially, so too do we struggle with the realities of systemic inequality and racism in our society. In the United States and around the world, the recent senseless killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and too many before them have unleashed an avalanche of pent-up emotion.
Our Core Values, which guide us in even these darkest of times, include the following tenets: to “act in accordance with the chivalric virtues of honor and service”, to “value and respect the worth and dignity of all individuals”, and to “practice inclusiveness and respect pluralism and diversity”.
If we are to live by our core values then there is only one path forward: we must both fight against systemic injustice and support those that do.
As the unique educational organization that we are, we have the opportunity to leverage our greatest resource: our community.
It is our community that makes us who we are. That is the true value of the Society for Creative Anachronism. We treasure the rich diversity of our community as a reflection of the rich diversity of history and we owe it to ourselves to deepen our understanding of pervasive inequitable treatment so that we can move forward on a journey of healing.
There is a tremendous amount of work to be done. It is time for us to take a hard look at who we are in order to hold ourselves accountable for the actions we take – and the actions we don’t take.
There is also fear. Our current reality is the direct result of generations of discrimination and collective trauma. As we educate ourselves to best support every member of our community, we must acknowledge the fear – and speak regardless. The time for inaction is over.
Every member of the SCA can effect positive change through personal accountability. Educate yourself and those around you on issues of injustice. Speak out against it when you see it, and use any platform that you have to elevate other voices speaking out against it, particularly those voices of marginalized groups. Assist those causes which seek to address discrimination, racial inequity, and all systemic injustice through the resources that you have available to you.
I invite all members of the SCA to continue to think about further ways they can help strengthen our commitment to our Core Values.
My SCA stands against bigotry. My SCA will not be silent, and therefore complicit, in the face of injustice. I will continue to work to make my SCA a haven for all, and a key player for progress in the battle against inequality through education and community.
It is my most ardent hope that you will join me.
