- Society-level Guidelines for kingdom-level events:
- As of July 1, Society released the following statement for all persons attending in-person SCA events going forward: “Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary. “

Decision-Making Tools
Last Updated: 22 Feb, 2022
- If Society hasn’t suspended activities of that type, and
- If Kingdom hasn’t suspended activities of that type, and
- If Local/State Guidelines allow the activity, and
- If Baronial Activities haven’t been suspended by the Seneschal, then
- Then there are two ways an activity can happen as an in-person activity
- A marshal, officer, deputy, or someone who has been deputized as such announces an activity and gets it on the calendar
- If the above doesn’t happen, then, a group (usually 4 or more) petitions Kingdom to get approval to host that activity
- Before you submit a petition, reach out to the Seneschal and the Officer in charge of the activity
- Petitions can be submitted to Kingdom Seneschal: kingdom@seneschal.ansteorra.org
