Gulf Wars Preregistration closes on February 22, 2020! After preregistration closes, you can pay cash on site at the rates as scheduled.
The Known World Italian Salon and Symposium (KWISS) will be held during Gulf Wars (GW) XXIX 2020, at King’s Arrow Ranch in Lumberton, MS. KWISS will host classes, demonstrations, activities, and tournaments focused on the historical A&S of the Italian peninsula across the millennia. KWISS will take place during the last 4 days of Gulf Wars, held at the Renaissance Village & Ca’ d’Oro Italian Salon.

We’re past the middle of the month, and the responses are still coming in. Thanks to everyone who has already shared an opinion! There’s still time for more thoughts via the poll! The poll will run through the end of February.
The ratios are all holding pretty steady over time, with just under a half of the responses showing preference for “Ansteorra Stargazer”, and just over one third of the responses showing preference to keep the current title.

The text on this flier mirrors the information at the Gulf Wars webpage. Preregistration has been extended though February 22, 2020 (from February 15th) due to system overload.
Social Media platforms with Ansteorran presence include:
- Wiki, managed by the Kingdom Historian
- Facebook, of course
- Twitter, as one would expect
- Instagram – Gulf Wars would like us to “take over” their account on one day, this year! There’s plenty to do for all interested parties!
- Gazette* via WordPress
- I’m hearing interest in Twitch and Discord
- YouTube is still in a holding pattern, from what I understand
- I know the Teen Hospitaler is working on plans to make more space for that office’s target demographic.
If you’d like to run with any of these platforms (or others!), please let me know what you have in mind.

I’m leaving the possible-rename poll up through the end of February, but I think an update is due. First some stats:
- 58 responses
- 19 responses, 32.7% in favor of leaving the title as it is (both the purple and light blue boxes – I fixed a type-oh too late, which created a second entry)
- 27 responses, 46.6% in favor of Ansteorra Stargazer
- 3 responses, 5.2% in favor of Black and Gold Journal
- 2 responses, 3.4% in favor of Ansteorra Space
- 7 options each got 1 response, 1.7%
- You can change your vote, if you want!

I absolutely get that it’s hard to have an opinion about a resource you may not think about often. I’m starting to send out calls for help, to make this a resource unlike anything we already have running.
