The site is located on FM 466, five miles outside of Seguin.  Make your best route to Seguin, Traveling South on 123, turn Left onto FM 466, then Right onto GBRA Access Road / OR traveling North on 123, turn Right onto FM 466, then Right onto GBRA Access Road. Follow SCA signs.

  • LETTERS OF INTENT ARE REQUIRED TO BE CHAMPION: You can either email them to their excellences ( Baron@bjornsborg.ansteorra.org & Baroness@bjornsborg.ansteorra.org ) or bring it on site.
  • Snowball Melee: Fighters will be paired as usual for the first round. In this example fighters, fighters A and B fight, and, B loses. Fighter A becomes Team Captain and fighter B joins their team. In the next round, fighters A and B will fight fighters C and D. The winning team’s captain will now have three other soldiers to assist in defeating another other team of four in the next round. This continues until there is an overall winner.
  • Bring-your-best Round Robin Tournament (1v1): with individuals selected by Their Excellencies based on the previous melee performances.

  • Thrown Weapons Schedule:
    10am – 11am: weapon inspection and practice.
    11am – 12am: Donkey, Fruit and Turban Tournament.
    12pm – 1pm: Range closed for lunch.
    1pm – 2pm: Pie Tournament and practice.
    2pm – 3pm: Baronial Championship.
    3pm – 4pm: Ulfieior’s Spear Tournament.
    4pm: Range Closed.

  • THROWN WEAPONS:  Activities are open to all, not just those competing for Championship
  • GAMES: Baroness Lady Anne Harper of Eland will be your Mistress of Games and will have a variety of tabletop period games for those who wish to try their luck.
  • CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES: Bjornsborg’s Minister of Children, Marjorie Harper/Maggie Rose (Jenn Allison), will be providing an assortment of children’s activities throughout the day

  • Frankfurters (Wieners/Hot Dogs)(beef chuck, pork butt, white pepper, coriander, ginger, ground mace, garlic, salt, water, lamb casings)
  • Vienna Sausage (pork butt, beef stew meat, onions, sugar, cayenne, paprika, ground mace, ground coriander, salt, arrow root, milk, lamb casings)
  • Grilled onions
  • Roasted Cabbage (possibly pickled too)
  • Mustard
  • Pickles
  • Rolls (water, flour, yeast salt)
  • Rye rolls (water, rye flour, flour, yeast, salt, caraway seeds)
  • Roasted carrots (carrots, olive oil, salt, honey)
  • Apple strudel (apple, cinnamon, brown sugar, phyllo dough, butter)


Tent and RV Camping will be available on Nolte Island Friday through Sunday.

Please be aware of the limited ingress and egress for large vehicles to the island across a narrow, load limited bridge.  There’s a 90 degree turn as soon as you cross the bridge. There are 5 RV sites with electricity and water, first come first served.
