Forms, Policies, and Rules

Kingdom Arts and Sciences (KAS) is the premier Arts event in Ansteorra. It is where the highest caliber of artistry and research is displayed and where the highest level of feedback is given by Laurels and subject matter experts.
Kingdom Arts and Sciences is a unique opportunity to compete in that you do not compete with the other entrants. You will only be competing against your own personal excellence. Each person who scores over 40 will receive a token of excellence.
Documentation can be written or video, but both must include a works cited. If you cannot create a written works cited for your video, please contact kingdom@moas.ansteorra.org or your DEIB officer.
Performances can also be submitted by video and need to be delivered with your documentation.

Categories
- Static Entry – An object with supporting documentation to answer the questions presented in the judging sheet
- Performance Entry—This includes music, dance, theater, storytelling, and poetry performances (self-written pieces can be cross-entered into static).
- Academic Entry – A written academic entry of research, research with additional visuals, experimental archeology, a catalog, a science and engineering project, or a catalog. See the judging sheet for specific categories.

Display 2025
Display at Kingdom Arts and Sciences is new for 2025. This will be the ability to display one item with or without documentation, and even if it is near completion but not finished. You will not be sitting with your display
Categories
- Static Entry – An object with supporting documentation. With or without documentation, but researched with the intent to document.
- SCA Life – These are items that are not documentable, but artistic endeavors that make our SCA experience better.
- Performance – an open circle will be hosted after the performance competition.
Youth and Young Adult Arts & Sciences
Youth arts and sciences has two entry categories, display and Kingdom A&S standard entry, for youth and young adults.
If you are under 18, you can participate in the youth A&S that is held with the display. Youth participating in the display will receive a token of participation and are not required to have any documentation.
Youth 13 and up have the option to participate in the youth display, but are allowed to enter the Kingdom A&S Competition if they choose. All entrants must register through the registration process and follow any deadlines set for adults. If there are any questions, please contact the Kingdom Minister at kingdom@moas.ansteorra.org. Young adults participate in the same way as adults. Their sheets will be marked, and score sheets will be returned to the parent. Documentation is required.
