The martial disciplines include various forms of combat which were common before 1600AD. The equipment, fighting styles and rules vary by discipline, so please see below for examples of each. In all martial activities safety is the prime focus, so concessions to authenticity have been made that help reduce the risk of injury to participants and spectators.
